In most cases, the application will allow you to use your EHR the same way you would use it in your browser. Some clients prefer to stay inside Shadowbox all day while using their EHR to schedule, take notes, and update as necessary.

Please remember to close out of the application daily for the best functionality.

Not currently. The Shadowbox application presents multiple applications within a single screen such that readability would be challenged on a mobile device.

No, for security and compliance, Shadowbox requires that all users have a unique username and password. SB can quickly add users who may need access and remove users who may no longer need access and/or train your team to do so.

Please contact your ancillary service provider for instructions to edit an order after it is placed. This function is not yet available within Shadowbox.

Our technology operates just like a browser.  Even if a user is logged into a website on one tab, a new tab may not recognize that the previous tab has a session logged in. Therefore, you may be asked to login to the site on each new tab that is opened. Many customers securely store their credentials to the EHR within our application so that the system can automatically login the user on the EHR when each new tab is opened.

No, your credentials are locally stored on your workstation/computer.

No, they are two different sets of credentials. Your Shadowbox credentials are provided to you by Shadowbox or the ancillary service provider. The EHR credentials are provided to you by your EHR or a system administrator at your facility.

No, the Shadowbox application only needs to be installed on computers which will be used to place orders and review results.

If you're experiencing issues with printing reach out to your IT to reset the computer and/or printer sizing settings. Our standard recommendation is Dymo LabelWriter 450 with the label size 1" x 2 1/8" (Dymo LabelWriter Multipurpose Labels DYM 30336).
